"Then little children were being brought to him in order that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples spoke sternly to those who brought them; but Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.'"

Matthew 19:13-14

A Foundation for Life

Children help us see the world with new eyes.  They trust and love freely.  They're a gift, and the future of the church.  At Bethlehem, more than 60% of our congregation is under 50, which means we're well-practiced at teaching young people.  There's more than one way to learn, and that's why our Sunday school leaders utilize songs, crafts, and interactive games while laying the foundations of faith.

Something for All

Sunday school is a big component of what we do each week here at Bethlehem.  We offer classes from pre-K (age 3) through 8th grade, and interactive learning is a point of emphasis.  We read bible stories, we play games, sing, and engage in crafts.  Older youth are invited to assist as volunteers, participate in confirmation classes, or join the adults downstairs after worship for snacks and conversation.
